Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using CountProtein, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use CountProtein on devices you own or control, for your own personal use. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the app or its content except as the app's own sharing features allow.
Subscriptions and pricing
CountProtein offers a free tier and paid plans:
- Monthly: $6.99 USD per month.
- Annual: $39.99 USD per year, with a 7-day free trial.
- Lifetime: a one-time payment of $129.99 USD.
If you're on the Canadian App Store or Google Play store, prices are localized to CAD by the store at checkout. Before any trial converts to a paid subscription, we tell you the exact date you'll be charged in plain English, with time to decide.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own refund policies; we don't process refunds directly.
Acceptable use
Use CountProtein lawfully and don't attempt to disrupt the service, access other users' data, or misuse the app in ways that could harm us or other users.
Medical disclaimer
CountProtein is a wellness product, not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice. The protein targets, food-safety badges, and other guidance in the app are general information, not a substitute for advice from a qualified clinician, dietitian, or other healthcare professional. Always consult your doctor or care team before making significant changes to your diet — especially if you have a kidney condition, since protein needs for people with kidney disease are different from the general guidance this app provides.
Accuracy disclaimer
Photo-based estimates are approximate. You confirm every entry before it's added to your log, and you're responsible for reviewing and correcting anything that looks wrong. Nutrient values in CountProtein come from public food databases, including USDA FoodData Central, the Canadian Nutrient File, and Open Food Facts. Open Food Facts data is licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL); where we use it, we attribute it accordingly.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CountProtein and its makers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on nutrient estimates or guidance shown in the app. Use the app's information alongside, not instead of, professional medical advice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. (This jurisdiction is a placeholder pending confirmation by the founder before launch.)
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
